Haematological data has now been resolved in consulation with the Department of
Health and the data is now available to us for testing. This was due to an error

WCMICS Data Central
is a web accessible data warehouse provided by the WCMICS Directorate. As a part
of this service, we currently provide reports based on VAED data. In addition
we provide analytical and reporting services using a range of tools including
a mapping software tool (Map Intelligence Excel Client -

). These services provide an opportunity for
clinicians and managers to compare healthcare delivery and patient loads across
services in the region. So far we have provided the following reports.
- Breast Service Projection Report 2006-07 to 2015-16 for Western
Health. This report provided the Western Health Breast Service with projected
growth in Breast cancer patients and Breast cancer specific procedures up to
2015-16 FY. This report will assist Western Health in planning and managing the
projected increase in patient load.
- VAED data report for Tumour Groups. The WCMICS Directorate has
provided a report based on the VAED data set for the 2002-03 to 2006-07 FY's for
a number of tumour groups. These reports were presented at the relevant tumour
group meetings.

- The WCMICS Directorate has also provided data (based on the
VAED dataset) on preferred languages of patients for a number of health
services. This data has helped services to translate patient information into
the most widely used languages.
WCMICS Data Central also provides reports
(based on VAED data) that are customizable based on user preference. These
customized reports can be accessed by logging in using the Members Login section
to the left of this page. We have provided a username and password to
increasing numbers of staff in the region as we roll out this service to cover
all WCMICS tumour groups and sites.
