The WCMICS
The Western & Central Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service, or "the WCMICS" is a partnership between six public health care organisations - Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Royal Melbourne Hospital, the Royal Women's Hospital, St Vincent's Hospital, Werribee Mercy and Western Health. The work of the WCMICS is directed by the vision outlined in the WCMICS 2008-11 Strategic Plan and the Victorian Government’s Cancer Action Plan. Our Objectives Originally established to implement the Victorian Government's Cancer Services Framework across our region, the WCMICS is now tasked with the implementation of pertinent elements of the Victorian Cancer Action Plan. In line with the overall aims of the Cancer Action Plan and the WCMICS' strategic direction, WCMICS' main objectives are to:
Our Governance The WCMICS is governed by two key committees (the Governance Committee and the Clinical Management Advisory Committee). The WCMICS Directorate is responsible for the day to day co-ordination and management of WCMICS activities |
